I like how it even has the Jim Lee style while animated here. Japan knew what they were doing when it came to animation back in the day.
Fox Kids: my X-Men theme is the most epic
Japan: Hold my beer
> Hold my Sak'e.
WellBeSerious12 Japanese people do drink beer, you know?
Hold my SHOCK
hold my can of Asahi
Nomination for comment of the year.
Holy hot damn....this is damn good. I'm currently watching X-Men (90's) to get ready for X-Men 97, damn if only we could have these kind of openings, I would say this is just amazing stuff! I give props to the Animators for doing these
I wonder if the Japanese kids were disappointed when they found out the animation in the show wasn't as good oras thrilling like the intro said it would be and the fact that Jubilee was useles.
Damn i would of been super disappointed if i had watch this intro and then saw the artwork in the actual episode
BlockABoots
Lol.
Yeah
BlockABoots how so?
The art style is still pretty amazing in the cartoon.
BlockABoots i was thinking the samething!
That's how it felt to watch SilverHawks, or Thundercats
Over the top anime goodness. Captured the Jim Lee era style very well.
It would be AWESOME if X-Men '97 did a tribute to this for one of their episodes
I will *FOREVER* be bitter about the fact we didn't get an Xmen anime like this. God imagine how glorious that would have been.
There is a anime though.
Marvel Anime X-Men 2011
LOVE THAT ROUGE WINK!!!!!!
WHO THE HELL IS ROUGE???
It's that girl at 0:36
I didn’t know the bat from Sonic was in this.
Omg yea ikr shes sooooo kawaiiii
Rogue*
can you imagine the reaction from the Japanese after being so hyped up from the intro only to be severely disappointed with the actual quality of the episodes. Hell, the intro made Beast actually badass!!
Yesnog05 the episodes were great dude touched a lot of issues but yeah and then u see the real t.v. show ur like wtf lol
The actual animation is still pretty detailed to this day but it will never top Batman TAS and Animaniacs.
I heard X-Men was so popular in Japan that it was dubbed twice..
RawbThatPunk eh i prefer the more human like features of xmen tas i wasnt a big fan the square look dc did
I doubt they were disappointed considering most 90s Anime was the same, with high quality openings.. compared to the actual anime episodes..Hell, just look at DBZs Japanese opening during the 90s..they knew what to expect.
Hot damn! Those intros went harder than the original intro! 🥵😆
Would it be cool, if they remake the intros for X-Men 97 on Disney+ in Japan?

1:18 And that wink is why i fell in love with Anime-Rougue, also know as BEST-WAIFU.
gohanmoreno7 Well she is best waifu in the actual cartoon anyway so......
Star Falchion Indeed.
That wink (was this a Toei deal?) seems in keeping with the Stateside concept of Rogue in the early 1990s : "maybe flirty and definitely a force to be reckoned with".
We all loved rougue when growing up!
No waifu, no laifu.
I see that many are excited about X-Men 97 and I am too, however... the animation they gave it, added to the rumors... make me skeptical about the continuation of the series... For me I would have been fascinated if they had given the project to an anime house that could recreate what was seen in the Openings...
I am here again after continuation announcement
CRY FOR THE MOON!!!
"Yeah, I love My Hero Academia"
and i love Dragon Ball
There’s Japanese Spiderman and Manga Spiderman. Seriously, I’m not kidding.
There’s also One Punch Man, Gintama, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure, Re:Zero, High School DxD, Goblinslayer, Demonslayer, Steins;Gate, Dr.Stone, Promised Neverland, Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan), Your Name, Code Geass, and Fate/Stay Night (All Three Routes).
HOWEVER! Knight of the Zodiac-Saint Seiya, Mobile Riot Gear Police-Ghost in the Shell, Hokuto no Ken, Shin Getter Robo Armageddon, YuYu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Cowboy Bebop, Magical Knight Rayearth, Devilman, Uresei Yatsura, Tenchi Muyo!, Bastard!!, Berserk, Mobile Suit Gundam Universal Century timeline, and Neon Genesis Evangelion/Rebuild of Evangelion; that’s a different level of anime/manga/visual novel/light novel.
@@whathell6t You forgot Legend Of The Galactic Heroes
Gabriel Lloyd I also forgot Maison Ikkoku, Kimagure Orange Road, Astroboy, Robot Hunter Casshern, Baoh, Apocalypse Zero, Guyver, Legend of the Overfiend, Gintama, Mazinger Z, Gunbuster, etc.
whathell6t there's quite a few there that I don't care for and a dozen that I love almost as much as my mother and there's one there that I hate more then anything other than Dragon Ball Evolution and and E.T. The Atari Game.
2:46 Every Anime EVER!
Lmao, Ikr hahahhahah
lollllllllllll
Anime cliche
I swear.
That is the pinnacle of the stereotypical anime.
siioHD ha ha... it looks like a Saint Seiya ending...
i want this as a whole show. the art, the music, the tone, all of it as a full series.
ガンビットかこっこよかったよなー
Damn Gambit needs to chill, you can't just take apocalypse alone!
He’s such a fucking anime MC, I swear
The power to charge anything and have it explode... oh he's ready.
Gambit is so badass he was made to be a anime character
This is anime not an American comic book "nakama" power can make him defeat Apocalypse alone
Please Gambit doesn’t break a sweat fighting Apocalypse. Now pine trees on the other hand...
Does anyone notice at 3:01 that Professor X pulls out the TRI-BEAM? TIEN WOULD BE PROUD TO SEE HIS LEGACY LIVING ON!😭

@ what do you mean? but Tien uses the Tri-Beam/kikohou.
@@sridrawings4510 I know that lol. Everybody keeps correcting me on the tri-beam original name. It's the same thing y'all😂
They were doing this just to hype up the good ol’ 90s x-men capcom games.
"CRYYYYYY FOR THE POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON!"
Such a mood😩
2:42 a brilliant scene which uses wolverine's claws in a sensitive way. only japanese do that kind of stuff.
I noticed that too. It was a really good transition, especially when you consider the relationships involved.
Because is a romantic triangle 🤩
Opening 1: Hokuto no ken.
Opening 2: Saint Seiya
Exactly what I thought
YOU WA SHOCK!
The end of opening 2 looks more similar to DBZs intro ending.
Occhipinti Occhipinti YOU WA SHOOOOOCK!!!
Orlando Céspedes it’s more like: Xmen 2nd opening looks like DBZ - la la head cha la😁
I like how this intro makes Jubilee actually look cool. Imagine the dissapointment of the Japanese people when they quickly realized she was the dumbass kid who could make things EXPLODE but still get kidnapped every 3-6 episodes.
Heaven or Hell let's rock Bub!
EHSr
Only in Japan can they make an intro as over the top and crazy as this and still make it look awesome.
over the top?
Gone are the days when Magneto could summon the Brood to do his pro-mutant bidding.
Yup :/
Or just flying in the air when they can't fly
Every year or so I return to this video. It goes so damn hard.
XMEN 97 / XMEN
let gooooooo 10/10
If X-Men was Anime.
Xmen was an anime. Just not the 90's version, it looked more like the movie version if anything... They also did it with iron man and one other franchise I can't remember..
Actually, technically it might have been an anime twice, if you count the cameos in that marvel/Pokemon/beyblade hybrid style anime 'marvel disk wars'
There is anime X-Men series and wolverine series.
Jubilee's powers actually look kind of menacing.
DemiTrusdale3 We shouldn't speak of Disk Wars
Efe Aydal in Japan it is and this is a real anime
0:54 holy sh*t I have been looking for this scene for over twenty years
I distinctly remember wolverine and omega red soaring through the air but all my friends said I was crazy as the U.S. version always had the same intro
Thought I dreamt it
U.S used that animation as an outro sometimes. Very rarely but they broadcasted it in the U.S
Dude. I remember when I was a kid I caught a glimpse of this animation at the end of the X Men cartoon, but it only aired a short period of time and it was the early morning slot.
"To me, my brood" -- Polaris, after watching this.
That scene with omega red and wolverine would make perfect verses screen for marvel vs Capcom
